MUSC received a grant to study how thoracic aortic aneurysms develop over time and how surgeons might be able to predict and stop development before the aorta ruptures. Thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA) is a devastatubg disease if the thoracic aorta, which results in the loss of structural integrity of the aoritc vessel wall.
