Dr. Mehrotra’s research interest centers on how to orchestrate a robust and long-lived tumor antigen-associated cytolytic t-cell response, while identifying the molecules/pathways that play a role in their cell death. His research is being applied to many areas, including the elucidation of the mechanisms for t-cell immunity, t-cell tolerance and how these can be modulated to control tumor and auto immunity. They also have ongoing efforts to identify signaling pathways and other chemo preventive agents as t-cell response modifiers.
