Pediatric Pineal Cyst Excision with 3D Exoscope Marks First for Very Young Patients

Libby Infinger, M.D., a pediatric neurosurgeon with MUSC Children's Health, recently performed a rare pineal cyst excision using a robotic 3D exoscope. At only twenty months of age, the patient is now one of the youngest people to undergo this type of brain surgery. Infinger describes the case and explains the impact of the exoscope for surgeons and patients alike.
